From recent events in the news I was a little skeptical about travelling to the French Riviera and for the first time I was a nervous flyer. However one twitter poll later and I was convinced that Nice needed my support and I also didn’t want to be scared to go on an adventure.
I spend most summers in Cannes and four years ago I worked out there so I have quite an attachment to the French Riviera. Having not read ‘How To Be Parisian’ I am not too clued up on how to be fabulously French although over the years I have learnt a few things about the culture.
However – when in France – make it subtle. It’s all about the barely there make-up and the Audrey Hepburn low bun, the dazzling shades and the oh so chic loose shirt.Less is more and fake hair, fake nails, fake eyelashes are to be left at home, so in English terms make your fake look real because I for one adore a bit of falseness from time to time.
If you haven’t already checked out a brand called Storets, go now and thank me later. It’s my new brand crush and I can’t help but purchase a new item every month on pay day. It’s what I like to call Vogue-Chic, put together but rough around the edges, combining layering and gathering my two favourite things in fashion.
This shirt was a must have for a boat trip combining pinstripes with white shorts and loafers. Not forgetting the ultimate holiday white tote that never leaves my side when I’m away. See what else I packed in my suitcase here.
