Let’s catch up! I feel like it’s been a bit of a whirlwind few weeks so I thought a blog post was in order. I’ve been on what feels like a hundred trains, two planes and travelled to two other countries in the space of a fortnight – let’s just say a large G&T is in order. I decided to move back to London, something which had been on my mind since the day I left and I just couldn’t shake it.
I lived in London for the good part of eight years and it came to a point were I needed to get over the ridiculous house prices and go back. I missed it. So as well as blogging I’ve been trying to fit in multiple flat viewings as well, proving difficult from the other side of the country. Just when I was losing hope I found my perfect flat and if all goes well I should be in next week (hallelujah) and I can give up my shares in Virgin Trains.
So first stop Krakow, which I later learnt is pronounced Krakoff! I’d never been to Poland before so I was excited to go experience the culture. Learning about different cultures is one of my favourite things to do, I love my eyes being opened to the world. It was a quaint peaceful city rich with history basking in a lot of old architecture, perfectly paired with our ride – an antique Trabi car. I loved how still the streets were with people scattered in cafes drinking wine or coffee outside, a little pleasure we don’t get to do all too often in England.
I was in Krakow with Bonprix which is a well known European brand that sells affordable fashion and you know my feelings on a bargain! I was in my element as we got to style outfits from rails and rails of clothing. Like a kid playing dress up this part of my job never gets old. The brits arrived last so there wasn’t much left to choose from in my size so I went with a classic of mine – an oversized shirt pulled in at the waist. On the plane I had been browsing Coachella pictures so festival fashion was on my mind and I think my inspo for this look. We stayed at the Design INX hotel in the centre of Krakow so if you’re ever heading there it’s worth checking out.
I fell in love with these boots as if they were something I had been searching for! They are the perfect height and shape to pair with jeans and a casual take on heels. I couldn’t believe they were such an affordable price at Bonprix!
We were shown the sites of Krakow and then headed to dinner at Placy Novy a beautiful restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere. It was honestly the perfect weekend trip and I’m already thinking about returning for the Christmas markets in Winter.
