In this day and age it’s hard for us to ignore the damage our fashion choices are making on the environment, so I wanted to start making some choices that were more eco-friendly and sustainable. With that said I wanted to introduce you to a brand that produces good quality vegan leather jackets whose brand ethos is hope – translated ‘Hoffen’ in German.
Hoffen is found in Brazil and is now a global company that specialises in providing a great quality synthetic alternative to leather. Not only do they pride themselves in being eco-friendly and not harming animals in the process but the craftsmanship that has gone into the making of each jacket is impeccable. Each jacket has been made to be wearable with ease of movement and designed with optimum use in mind with a variety of ways you can wear them.
First up we have the Seitg jacket which comes with a detachable grey hood – giving the impression that you have layered the items without the bulkiness. This allows you to still layer the jacket with other knits like you can see here and also keeps the shape in place. All the Hoffen jackets come in different colours so you can easily pick a shade that suits your style.
What I love about this jacket is the ribbed structure which gives it a really nice silhouette. Even if you wear layers with the Seitg it still keeps a really nice shape. You can also see in the close images how much it looks like leather which just proves there is no need to use the real thing.
Next is the Kalt jacket which comes in two different colours (black & brown) – I’ve opted for the brown and paired it here with an array of different colours to create this gorgeous colour palette.
I’ve showcased each jacket two ways so you can see how easy it is to create many looks from the one jacket. This is definitely something I look for in clothes these days as I try and be more sustainable with my choices.
Look four is the Kalt jacket combined with the black detachable hood for a more laid back approach – opting for black accessories it completely changes the whole feel!
Paired with a black bobble hat is the perfect combination for those wintery days.
The final look is the Nacht jacket really great for an effortless cool vibe! It’s slightly shorter in length than the other jackets which makes it great for pairing with a skinny fit jean.
The inside is a red check which is so on trend for this season and I just love the hidden pop of colour.
Look six is a very typical me outfit – I had to get a belt in here somewhere! I love a belt to tie in the waistline and sometimes popping one around a scarf can create a really nice layering effect. This outfit shows how you can soften the style of the jacket just by pairing it with lighter shades.
I also love the ribbed effect on this jacket – it not only helps keep the shape but makes a really nice silhouette.
I love what Hoffen stands for and in this day an age I think it is so important to support brands that are really trying to make a different and help the environment we live in. These jackets are a great example of how you can create a leather look without harming any animals.
This post is a collaboration with Hoffen but all thoughts, creativity and opinions are my own.
