Après SKI FASHION

Après SKI FASHION

Like Bambi on ice it’s safe to say that skiing is not my forte. In fact anything to do with ice is simply a no go situation unless I want to brake a few bones. That said après ski I think I nailed! Like always I love an occasion to style out and as I’d never been to the slopes before I became simply fashion obsessed with snow style. After pinterest boards of planning I feel like I knew the look I wanted to go for! Every time I plan for a trip away I have a ritual or process I…

A GUIDE TO NEW YORK CITY

A GUIDE TO NEW YORK CITY

I’d dreamt of New York since the day my sister forced me to watch Sex And The City. Yes forced! She had been going on about Gossip Girl and SATC for so many years I thought I would give it a go. I rarely watch TV so it’s not as crazy as it sounds. A decade later and I’ve watched every episode about ten times through. I firstly fell in love with the clothes – God bless Pat Field and Eric Daman – and then I fell in love with New York City. So in January I made five New…

A SINGLE disadvantage in the blogging industry?

A SINGLE disadvantage in the blogging industry?

My whole life my single self has been my best self. It’s when I truly feel me, I work harder and I play harder. Probably because I have a habit of dating the wrong men but I’ve always been happiest alone. So jumping on a plane to Milan after flying solo to Los Angeles wasn’t something that scared me. Booking a table for one at restaurants, wandering the Italian streets alone with an ice cream is actually something I enjoy. It dawned on me on this trip though after asking the sixth tourist to take a picture of me at…

CITY OF ANGELS

CITY OF ANGELS

– AN UNEXPECTED TRIP – My life used to be so exciting, I travelled the world, went to the most amazing parties and pretty much said YES to any opportunity. I was a ‘wet hair girl’ and by definition a girl that simply jumps at any opportunity – the good, the bad and the damn right crazy. Mid twenties I freaked out, pressurised by society to settle down, get a job in the real world, find a place to call home. This year something happened. I quit the real world after lasting approximately five minutes and started to live my…

SORRENTO ESCAPE

SORRENTO ESCAPE

– THE TRAVELLER GUIDE – I’d never been to Sorrento before but having recently visited Venice and Rome I had high expectations on what this Italian coast line had to offer. Italy is always beautiful, even borderline make believe with each street and scenic route somewhat magical. A flight to Naples then a coach ride past the iconic volcano Mount Vesuvius followed by cliff tops all the way to Sorrento – not one for vertigo. The hotel was right in the centre and a short walk to the harbour, where you can swim, eat and of course board a yacht…

MY ITALY WORKOUT

MY ITALY WORKOUT

– SCULPT YOUR SILHOUETTE – I used to work out in a ten year old baggy t-shirt and sweats and wondered why I was so de-motivated to exercise. Now, well into my gym bunny phase I can totally see the importance of looking good in the gym. Don’t be fooled my attire is not to impress any on lookers – as a firm singleton I probably should browse the gym crowd however my gym time is strictly for me. The activewear of choice has to tick all the boxes. Performance – does it hold everything in place? Durability – is…

GUIDE TO VENICE

GUIDE TO VENICE

– MY FAVOURITE PLACES – I recently went to Venice and fell in love with it straight away. It is by far the most magical city I have ever been to, I can definitely see now why the Clooney’s got wed there. I find it hard sometimes to know what to do and where to go when I visit new places so I put together a little guide to help you out if you ever head to Venice! WHERE TO STAY I have to hold my hands up and say I’m a bit of a hotel snob. By that I…

THE INDUSTRY

THE INDUSTRY

– WHAT I’VE LEARNT SO FAR – Two years ago I was in my final year of university – a ‘mature’ student obviously. I was a bit late to the game when figuring out what I wanted to do in life. It was right about now actually that I could just about see the finish line in April 2015. Everybody had jobs lined up and knew where they wanted to go and what they wanted to do but I still hadn’t got a clue. I had a CV of journalism, PR, styling and design internships under my belt, years of…

LAST NIGHT IN PARIS

LAST NIGHT IN PARIS

 – SHOPS & CHAMPAGNE – My final night in Paris was spent at the Hôtel Etoile Saint Honoré by HappyCulture perfectly located at the west end of the Champs Elysees and a five minute walk from all the shops. Of course I had to wander along down my favourite road in Paris – Avenue Montaigne – scattered with the world’s most influential designer flagship stores. It’s worth having a look just for the eccentric and magnificent window displays and a browse the latest ‘IT’ bags of the moment. I’d done my fair bit of sightseeing so when the porter escorted…
