– These are a few of my favourite things –
It’s no secret that a beauty box is a bloggers dream. A monthly subscription of the latest products straight to our door ready for review makes things a lot easier when having a blog to upkeep. There are a few boxes on the market at the moment, so how do you know which is the right one for you? Well, Cohorted Box is a brand that I’ve been using since the start of my blog as it speaks my language both in aesthetics and products.
For those of you that don’t know The Black Edition Cohorted Box is a secret selection of hand-picked beauty must haves, enclosed in an elegant all black exterior, and finished with a luxury hand tied bow. A perfect gift for a loved one or a treat for yourself.
So let me talk you a few of this months products. I was yet to pick up a blending sponge so I was pleased to see one had made the cut. This particular one from The Vintage Cosmetic Company is not only latex free but infused with Vitamin E too, perfect for sensitive skin! The next product I was quick to pull out was the Bobbi Brown Soothing Cleansing Oil as I had been wanting to try it for a while and never quite got the chance. The oil is a special blend of jasmine flower extract and botanical oils that dissolves surface impurities and makeup without disrupting skin’s natural balance. After trying & testing this product a few times it’s quickly become my staple cleanser!
Next we have a brand called Bellápierre, a mineral based company focusing on all things natural and organic. I’ve had a few allergic reactions to lipsticks (usually drugstore) so these products fit in nicely with my everyday makeup range. The shade (Envy) is also very fitting for this time of year, leaving you with the perfect Autumnal pout.
The Waterproof Gel Lip Liner will not be budging all day and is formulated with pure minerals, natural waxes, and antioxidants, which are hypoallergenic and safe for all skin types. The Mineral Lipstick have been formulated with natural waxes and mineral pigments, iron oxides and antioxidants such as Vitamin C and Vitamin E, being the perfect compromise for dull chapped lips. Not only that, it provides natural protection from the sun and contains no harmful ingredients such as lead, lanolin or parabens.
I am not usually a fan of daylight contouring as it can go VERY wrong but the HD Brows Sculpt & Glow Palette is very subtle and blends beautifully. It’s also great to build upon without looking ‘cakey’. I particular love the highlight which gives a perfect dewy finish to your cheekbones.
I suffer from eczema and however many times I moisturise and drink water my skin is often left dehydrated. Although I am skeptical about placing oils on my face I absolutely love the NARS Monoï Body Glow II for my hands, arms, legs and feet. A little product goes a long way and it leaves your skin so nourished with an absolutely amazing smell of Tiare flower which leaves your skin with a subtle tropical fragrance.
This months box retails at £125.95 if the products were purchased separately, so at £35 a month Cohorted is a no brainer. The best bit… Cohorted give each beauty box subscriber a code to receive £5 off any magazine subscription from Magazine.co.uk making it a perfect deal for any fashion and beauty fanatic!
