I always like to introduce you to products that are suitable for sensitive, allergy prone skin. I have suffered with acne flare ups for years so I really have to be careful what products I use on my face. With that said I would like to tell you a little more about the Skinfix range, which is a really affordable and can easily be found in Boots. After using the products for a couple of weeks I wanted to tell you about my first impressions before I go into the science of why this range is so good. Ever felt that cleanser strips your skin and leaves it raw? Well, the Skinfix Foaming Oil Cleanser does quite the opposite, it foams into a lather and instead of stripping my skin it leaves soothed and soft.
The Nourishing Cream that I have been applying at night is simply one of the most intensive moisturisers I have ever used with noticeable changes after just one use. The products all have an amazing scent to them which made me question whether they contained fragrances, however all Skinfix products are 100% fragrance-free. Fragrance is the ultimate skin irritant and their smell is derived completely from natural botanicals.
The reasons why Skinfix sits so well with my skin is due to the fact that is has no parabens, phthalates, silicones, dairy, gluten, synthetic fragrances or dyes. Although many people go through life having no reaction to these types of chemicals I like many flare up from a single interraction.
My current routine starts with the Foaming Oil Cleanser to rid my skin of any dirt and makeup. I then use the Moisture Boost Serum to reach the deeper layers of my skin. The Healthy Skin Lipid Complex™ and extracts of Peony Root and Red Seaweed work together to enhance radiance, reduce pigmentation, repair collagen and enhance the skin’s elasticity. The serums is also PH Balanced which I find really helps to prevent my skin from overproducing oil which causes my acne.
I then target my problem zone with the Brightening Eye Cream which is lightweight, quick absorbing and clinically proven to improve the health of the skin barrier and deliver intense nourishment to the delicate eye area. I actually react really badly to most eye creams due to the harsh irritants, so Skinfix is ideal to tackle my fine lines under my eyes. After two weeks of usage I’ve had no reaction to the cream and my fine lines look better than ever.
Even if I drink litres of water a day my skin is still left looking dry and moisturisers I’ve used previously haven’t quite worked as well as I’d like. The Nourishing Cream is honestly the most intensive moisturiser I have ever used, where you can see the difference after just one use – proven by a 28-day dermatologist led clinical study where 94% showed a significant increase in skin’s moisture after just one use.
If you’re looking for a lighter option more suitable for daytime use the Hydrating Lotion is definitely worth trying. I alternate between the Nourishing Cream at night and the Hydrating Lotion during the day and the routine is working well for me so far. Even though it’s lighter the Hydrating Lotions moisturising properties are still just as intense and is proven to increase skin’s moisture by 40% after just one use.
